Send a message to all GP users

A common problem before deploying updates on a terminal server – is to make sure all users are out of the system. A cool/free utility to help with that is GPTalk by Will Ware.

GPTalk: A text messaging utility that runs securely inside of Dynamics GP. Enable quick communication between users, or send a broadcast message to all users. The broadcast function is password controlled. GPTalk is free! Just register and then download the software.

Importing/Exporting a Dynamics GP Transaction to Excel

In the last couple of months, I have come across two excellent add-on applications for Dynamics GP that work very well with Excel. I reviewed Copy Paste JEs from Excel to Dynamics GP recently. Mohammad R. Daoud and his team have made many updates, so worth checking out Dynamics GP Excel Paste

Another application worth checking out is by TitaniumGP. I like the usability of this application, if you try and paste something – they check if you don’t have the write template, and offer to export the correct template. Also the ability to immediately export any transaction to excel from any window – is very cool.

In addition – they a small search window – a la GPWindow.com – only this lets you launch GP windows from within GP. This is something I have had on my to-do list for a few years now, so I am happy somebody has gone ahead an done this.

Dynamics GP ISV Product Reviews at GPWindow.com

We are starting the GP ISV Product review series. With research inputs from Chetna and implementation inputs from Tina and Rubal - I think there will be content that will be of use to both GP Users and GP Consultants.

There are thousands of Dynamics GP ISVs and Add-On products, adding value to GP’s built in functionality. Product reviews will aim to highlight some of the popular GP products.

We've got over 15 products lined up, if there is a product you'd like us to review or write more about, shoot an email or add your comments.

In order to make the reviews unbiased, each review will carry references of the products from newsgroups. In response to questions in various groups, GP experts and MVPs often give their unbiased views about products. We have our list of Dynamics GP experts, most of whom have been recognized by Microsoft for their work with the community. We researched how often these products were referred to in the community by these experts – people like Mark Polino, Mariano Gomez, Victoria Yudin, Charles Allen, David Musgrave, Leslie Vail. The discussions related to this product are referenced with each review.
