We've generated an excel sheet which has the roles and tasks in each role. It comes in handy as finding out the tasks in each role is difficult right now, as there is no option to view only available tasks. You have to scroll up and down to see which tasks are in a role.
You can download it from here.
I've seen lots of suggestions related to this in the newsgroups, so I guess this should come in a future release.
If any of you would like more details – let me know and I can put out a larger excel sheet.
PS - If you are just about getting started with GP 10 security, or planning an upgrade might be a good idea to listen to Mark Polino's podcast #7 (Listen till the end). Lots of useful information there.

I'm trying to figure out what security tasks I need to add to my securtiy role so that I do not get errors from the following after posting a Component Trx Entry.
Inventory Adjustments Journal
GL Distribution Breakdown Register
IV Cost Variance Report
These 3 reports my security role does not have proper priveledges for. I've already tried adding all the security tasks that start with RPT_ but no luck. I also tried the Security Profiler of the Support Debugging Tool but it was not giving me anything useful... just the name fo the reports which I already knew. Any idea how to discover exactly what security tasks are needed when these priveledge errors come up?
Anonymous :),
In some cases the in built tasks do not cover specific windows/reports - you have to create a new task.
I had written about this here -

Hope that helps,

Is there more accounts receivable roles then just AR CLERK. I don't see any role that can do posting
Hi,
I need to give post employee expense to one of my users. Please let me know which task I shold give access to him.
I have given PA EXPENSE CLERK* role access but he is not able to post expense. He is getting message :"You do not have access to post transaction".
Please let me know if you which task I should use to post transaction.
Regards,
Sntosh
This is great. I was wondering if you had a way to determine which roles are incompatible with each other. More of a Segregation of Duties type Matrix.
If so, could you please send it to me? Thank You So Much...

I would also like a copy of this spreadsheet.
Also...I would like to create a Role which only has the ability to change user passwords. While I have been able to limit access to just the user setup window, the role i have defined is not able to save the changes made. Do you have anything outlining what specific tasks are necessary to perform this function?
thank you for any help,
